On Tuesday 8th May 2018, all 9 squads united alongside Elly and Izzy to raise awareness and funds for Myalgic Encephalopathy association. M.E affects over 250,000 people across the UK. Elly and Izzy's cousins, Jamie and Lara, suffer from M.E (Chronic fatigue syndrome) and have done for the last 8 years. They are now in their mid-20s and are still suffering terribly.

Elly and Izzy with the support from Ayesha, organized everyone at the club to wear a #millionsmissing t-shirts & red/blue t-shirts to raise awareness about this tragic and debilitating condition which so little people known about. Everyone also brought plenty of trainers/shoes to symbolise all the shoes people suffering from ME don't get to wear anymore, since they have no energy to step outside, let alone play netball.

Lara, Elly and Izzy's cousin, used to love playing sport and now has difficulty doing simple things like sitting up without pain, going for a walk and meeting up with friends. As Lara enjoyed lots of sports, Ayesha organised a lovely netball game with the ETNC players and we raised £50.60 with additional £50 on our JustGiving page. Totaling up to £100.60 for theM.E Association

Elly & Izzy alongside their teammates will continue to spread awareness on Saturday 12th May for M.E. As a club we will be doing all we can to raise awareness and funds for this cause.
